Our Divine Path: Vision & Mission

Our vision is to establish a sacred and loving sanctuary for Gau Mata (Mother Cow), where she is protected, nurtured, and worshiped as per the eternal principles of Sanatan Dharma. Inspired by Lord Krishna’s divine love for cows, our Gaushala and Kanha temples serve as a center of devotion, service, and sustainability. We aim to provide shelter and care for abandoned and needy cows, promote the spiritual and cultural significance of Gau Seva, encourage sustainable and eco-friendly practices like organic farming, and engage the community in Seva (service), donations, and volunteering. By merging cow protection with devotion, we strive to create a harmonious and spiritually uplifting environment for all.

Our mission is to serve and protect Gau Mata, following Vedic traditions and Siddha Aangan Darbar Baba Balak Nath. The key objectives of our mission include rescuing, sheltering, and nurturing cows with love and care, conducting daily rituals like Gau Pujan, bhajans, and seva activities, promoting eco-friendly dairy and organic farming, and encouraging devotees to participate through donations and volunteering. We invite all to join us in this divine journey of love and devotion to Gau Mata.

Benefits of Gau Daan

Gau Daan, or the donation of a cow, is considered one of the highest forms of charity in Sanatan Dharma. It is believed to bring immense spiritual, material, and karmic benefits to the donor. As per ancient scriptures like the Vedas, Puranas, and Bhagavad Gita, performing Gau Daan leads to divine blessings, inner peace, and liberation.

Spiritual Benefits

Gau Daan is considered a path to moksha (liberation) and is mentioned in the Shastras as the greatest charity one can perform. It pleases Lord Krishna, as He was a Gopal (protector of cows), and offering a cow in charity is an act of devotion toward Him. The donor receives the blessings of Gau Mata, which help in removing sins and negative karma from past lives. It enhances spiritual growth, leading to a more peaceful and harmonious life.

Material Benefits

Gau Daan brings prosperity, happiness, and success to the donor and their family. It is believed to remove obstacles in life and bring good fortune, wealth, and well-being. People facing financial difficulties or health issues are advised to perform Gau Daan for relief and divine protection. It ensures protection from untimely death and misfortunes, granting peace and longevity.

Environmental & Social Benefits

By donating cows to Gaushalas or needy families, one supports sustainable agriculture and organic farming. It encourages self-sufficiency among farmers, as cows provide milk, dung for manure, and economic stability. Gau Daan helps in preserving Indian cow breeds, which are essential for ecological balance and natural farming. It spreads the message of compassion, service, and dharma, inspiring others to engage in charitable acts.

Gau Daan in Scriptures

In the Mahabharata, Bhishma Pitamah advised Yudhishthira that donating cows ensures a place in heaven. The Garuda Purana states that those who donate cows with pure intention attain divine realms after death. According to Skanda Purana, donating a cow during special occasions like Amavasya, Purnima, or solar/lunar eclipses multiplies its benefits.

How to Perform Gau Daan?

Gau Daan should be done with pure devotion and a selfless heart. The cow should be healthy and well-nourished, ensuring her welfare. The donation should be made to a Brahmin, a temple, a Gaushala, or a needy family who will take good care of the cow. Performing Gau Pujan (worship of the cow) before donation increases the spiritual benefits.
